As a supplement to our air filter systems we also supply innovative systems for raw and clean air ducts from the orifice to the throttle body. Functions such as water and dust pre-separation, acoustic components, and HC-adsorption can be integrated into the components, which are produced with latest manufacturing methods mainly involving blow-molding or else injection molding in 1K and 2K versions.

Turbocharged engines also require air ducts from the turbocharger to the intake air cooler and from there to the intake manifold. These components are exposed to high temperatures and pressures and in the past used to be made mainly as aluminum and elastomer components. Using modern materials and blow-molding technology in 1K and 2K versions MANN+HUMMEL now provides innovative, cost efficient systems for the “cold” and the “hot” side. The 2K technique in particular enables connection points to be minimized and components to be produced even more economically.
